We've had a full house this week as John's parents and sister have been visiting since last Thursday and will be returning home tomorrow. We've loved having life in our house revolve around more than just what I can conjure up for the boys and I to do with our days...especially as my energy level lessens and my ability to get on the the ground and be a "buckin' bronco" for my little cowboys has passed! (almost...I have a good technique!) Since they arrived on Thursday night, we were able to spend Halloween together this year which was a lot of fun for Ryder especially who has been counting down the days until he gets to be Spiderman!

Ryder has received many fun Spiderman gifts from my grandma over the past few months and so it was only fitting to let my little munchkin BE Spiderman for a night! Cole joined right along as I dressed him up as Superman alongside his brother. They had a blast walking the streets of our new Illinois neighborhood, bringing many smiles to neighbors we knew and some we hadn't met yet. Here are some pictures of our fun Halloween in Illinois :)
Carving pumpkins with Grammie...
Cole becomes SUPERMAN and Ryder becomes....SPIDERMAN! (and a strong one at that!)
All dressed up and ready to trick or treat :)
Cole loves pointing out eyes on everything...even the pumpkin's eyes!
Going on a pumpkin hunt...going to get some special treats!
Ryder would pick his candy and then Cole would get his own and put it in the pumpkin they shared...after a while, Ryder said, "Mom, this bag is too heavy for me!" I said, "You're Spiderman! Spiderman is strong!" and then run a little faster and keep the bag to himself!

Here's Spiderman examining his and Superman's final stash at the end of the night...Mmmmm!
