Our Inspired Journey

Here are a few pictures from the past couple weeks...we've had some fun family moments with all three kids and some great outings that have gotten us out of the house which is good for us all! The boys LOVE getting out of the house and are used to being able to play outside all year round in sunny CA (which I know has gotten a lot of rain lately!) We've gotten in a good rhythm at home which has helped us get through our first Illinois winter, but whenever we get to go somewhere as a family it is our favorite time of all!

These first pictures were taken after church last week when I asked John to take some pictures of the kids and I, right before Cora need to eat, so she's not to happy about our little photo shoot! I included so many since I thought the "not so perfect" ones were the cutest! Hopefully it gives you a picture of what trying to take a "family" picture is like and how lucky you are when you get everyone looking the same way at the same time!One of the outings we took as a family last weekend was going to a electric airplane show in the armory building at the University of Illinois (right next to the band building where John's office is :) There were a bunch of booths set up where people were displaying their electric airplanes and helicopters and then in the center of the room, a place where people were flying them. Ryder and Cole loved watching the planes and helicopters fly around and pointing out their favorite ones! There was even a table where you could make your own airplane with a kit (for free!) and once you made this, they gave you a larger plane to take home for free! Ryder made one and had a blast while Cole, Cora and I walked around a bit more looking at the planes one more time :) Here's a picture of Ryder which the plane he made that day...he still plays with it and LOVES it!One of the great things about being out is that it's always fun to come back home again...the following are recent pictures of "sis" (as she is called around here) and her mommy and daddy taking in some sleepy time with her after the boys are in bed...we love spending this time with our girl after the sun has gone down and all is quiet :) She is still the sweetest little thing and very peaceful. We're praying she gets over an infection she has called "thrush" which makes her mouth sore. She's on medicine now and finished with it on Friday, so please pray this will be the end of it for her and I! It makes it difficult for her to nurse so she's drinking wonderfully out of a bottle now and we're hoping she can begin nursing again at the end of this week :)
