Here are some pictures from a Mother-Son date night Ryder and I went to at our church last night! It was a Karate themed night and we had a blast! We started at the church where we went in to find our seats at the long tables that were set up complete with name cards (Master Ryder and Mu Danice) and place mats with Chinese characters. 
We got our picture taken...
ate pizza and made ice cream sundaes...
and then went off to a karate studio with the other moms and sons to have a real, live karate lesson! When we got there the Sensai told us that whenever he gave an instruction, we needed to respond, "YES, SIR!" So Ryder had a blast with that as did the other boys yelling, "YES, SIR!" Every time he asked us to stand-up, sit down, block, kick, etc... We learned some great blocks and kicks and being the youngest one there, I think Ryder did a great job! After a while he started to jump and fall down, regardless of the move we were learning which I wasn't surprised to see since it was way passed his bedtime....so cute though! :) It was so fun to be out with my son, just him and I. We'll definitely have to start a tradition of this as Cole gets older too...time alone with mom and dad :) Well, we loved our 1st karate date, and who knows, maybe there will be a black belt in our family someday!
