Cora has spent 3 wonderful months with our family now and it's official...we love her!!!!
We've loved watching our girl grow up this month into an even more alert little member of our family! One of the skills she's developing early in her life is her ability to communicate! Now, I'm not sure if we can say it's the "girl" in her speaking up already or just the "Mommy" in her coming out early :) (My mom votes for the later!) but one thing is for sure...she loves to talk and sing! She first started giving her speeches at night after her tummy was full and her brothers were asleep for just her Mommy and then began to include Daddy too. Recently though, Cora talks for anyone who will listen, including the ladies in our church nursery!
I've been in the habit of keeping Cora with me during my Wednesday night Bible Study and since she's so sweet and calm, she would either sleep or rest awake in her car seat or my arms while we discusses the past week's study and watch the teaching video for the night. For the past 2 weeks in a row, I haven't been able to keep her with me since she wants to join right in on the discussion! Now, of course I don't mind and even love that my little girl has such a passion already for sharing her feelings about the Word in such a free and bold way, but so as not to distract (she tends to hog the mic a bit), I've put her in the nursery so she can talk away while I'm with my group in the study. Sure enough, I go to pick her up after the night had ended, and the wonderful lady who held her the whole time said she was talking away telling all kinds of stories!!! So as not to keep these wonderful tales to myself, I added a video so you could see for yourself!!!
I have to admit it's interesting for John and I to hear Cora talk and re-live our memories of Cole's early sounds as well. It's good to thank God for each day of hearing and speech our little girl has since we know it is a gift and don't take for granted that she can hear today. :) We hope you enjoy the first sounds of our girl...
In the next video, we happened to catch the only time we've seen our sweet girl crack herself up! I started tickling her chin with a cloth and Daddy, Ryder and I all thought it was adorable!!! You can see the proud brother in here with her...he just adores her! If I ever call her just "Cora" Ryder says, "No Mommy...Cora GRACE!" I'm glad he likes her middle name as much as I do! Cole had just gone to sleep or I can assure you he would've been right there alongside her. :) We hope you enjoy the video as much as we love our girl! We praise God for our closest and most immediate community that we talk with, laugh with, and cry with more than any other in life right now...our family :)

So wonderful!! I love all of the precious voices I got to hear in these videos! It was so fun to hear that Caleb and Cora make similar noises right now since they are so close in age, too precious!!
