Cora is officially 9 months old! The time has FLOWN by. I think with the more kids you have, the quicker times passes...it's making me want to savor the moments with my sweet little girl all the more...here she is with her first little ponytail :)
For those interested, here's an update on Cora Grace at 9 months...
For those interested, here's an update on Cora Grace at 9 months...- 19 pounds 7 ounces...this puts her in the 60th percentile for weight. She starting to thin down a bit...all except her adorable (no-so-little) thighs!
- 27 and 1/4 inches long...she's in the 40th percentile now for length!
- She is a crawling maniac...as soon as I put her down, she's off to whatever is closest to put in her mouth...I have to watch her well! Thankfully her brothers are like mini-policemen taking things out of her mouth left and right, even if it's a teether and just fine for her to chew on! My favorite is when Cole grabs things out of her hand and signs and says "no" at the same time while shaking his head...this is the sign he hasn't let go of yet, and he's putting it to good use being protective of his sister! Here's a video of our girl on the move and I stop it quick to rescue a little train conductor!
- Cora is also pulling herself to a standing position in her crib and in the living room using the couch...she's my earliest mover of all three, and VERY strong!

- We definately have a little story teller on our hands as well...her favorite word is "Da, Da," and then when she's upset, she gets a little worried expression on her face and says, "Ma, ma!" I guess this means Daddy is fun and Mommy comforts! Oh, and she's figured out how to be LOUD to get our attention! Here's video of that sweet little voice now...
- As for holding up with 2 older brothers, she's a CHAMP! There are times when I wait for her to tell me if Cole's hug is too snug or if Ryder's "Boo!" was too loud, and most times when I'm expecting a cry, she responds to their love so graciously...My favorite is the way Ryder can make her belly laugh for a good 5 minutes by repeating the same silly word or phrase over and over again while playing peek-a-boo! She cracks up! Or when Cole insists that she must sit in his lap every time we read a book...even though his hug looks a bit tight to me, she never flinches once, listening to the story the while time....what a girl!
First, she just watched in her beautiful coat from Babi and Deda...

...while the boys rolled around in Daddy's freshly raked pile!!!

Then, she joined in the fun and wasn't sure at first...

then she realized these crunchy leaves are fun!
Almost good engough to EAT!We stopped her just in time :)
God sure knew what He was doing in adding her to our family!!! We love her more than ever, and are thankful to have our sweet and sensitive but tough-enough-to-have-fun-with-the-boys girl!!! Happy 9 months, Cora Grace!

Sweet! This post makes me dream of my own house full of little ones. :)
