Our little Cora-bean has become quite the young lady in the past few months! She is lively, sweet, confident, assertive and passionate about learning. She would sit with me for hours reading, repeating the names of colors, shapes, animals or whatever I sat in front of her. She loves time with Mommy and still prefers to be in my lap or by my side most of the day :) She has just recently moved up to the toddler room at church and is so brave in walking right in with little protest...I think she likes the new slides and toys to play with! The ladies in the nursery say they miss her though because she was a big help with the babies in there, giving them their pacifiers when they dropped them. She's going to be such a good big sister!
I love watching her with her brothers as she loves to play with them but has gotten very good at defending herself when things get a little wild! We've gotten to visit our community aquatic center a couple times this summer, complete with pools, water slide and lazy river. All the kids have had a blast, but Cora is the cutest little thing as she'd rather be under the water than above! She certainly is our little fish :) She is growing up so fast and we are so thankful for a beautiful, healthy little girl who absolutely loves life!!!
As much as her physical growth is amazing to watch as she gets taller, and her hair grows longer, she is surprising us daily with new words and phrases she knows...some of her favorites are:
"Mom, I want...(cereal, ba ba (banana), ba-tee (blankee), cracker, etc.)"
When she prays she says all our names, (Mommy, Daddy, Ry Ry, Toe (Cole)) I love this!
"Mom, I be righ (right) back" while holding up her finger to show me she'll just be a minute
I pee pee, or poo poo (she's starting to potty train)
2, 3, GO!
MORE WORDS: (though it's hard to record since she repeats almost everything we say...)
water, milk, juice, crackers, cheese, chicken, all our names, church, car, chair, dinosaur, truck, blankee, baby, shhh-sleeping, mama (gramma), mamie (grammie), papa, amps (gramps), Unca D (Uncle D), bow, finity ah (to infinity and beyond), Woody, Buzz, Jessie, dog, cat, duck, pig, cow, etc...Honestly, there are so many more I've stopped keeping track but these are a few I can think of off the top of my head!
This video was taken a month ago so she's even more verbal now than she was then, but it was too cute not to post!!! Enjoy a slice of life from our house!
She just came up to me and said..."Mom watch this...run fast!" Add that the list!
