Ryder was the first "Star of the Week" in his pre-school class this year...
...Here's a picture of the board he made to share with his class...
He picked all the pictures: family, he and Rylee, he and Coley doing handstands, swim lessons, and he and Daddy sledding at Hume Lake :) along with a picture he drew...
On Friday, the Star of the Week gets to have their family visit class :)
(Those bags hanging up are "book buddy bags" and each have themed books and props in each one...they are awesome!)
This Friday, however, was the day they were walking to the fire station on a field trip so we only stayed a little bit before seeing him off and taking Cole to school :)
He did get to introduce us all to his class, and bring something in to share with his class...
He chose to recite the verse he just memorized for his Ranger class at church, John 3:16 :) I was so proud of him, because he said it in front of everyone there, even all the parents who were there for the field trip! In the past he would get nervous at the last second and cling to me for a way out, but this time I saw a step of maturity in my boy. His teacher asked what he brought to share with the class, and he said, "a memory verse." Then he went right up, stood next to her and recited John 3:16 to his whole class...
"For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life!" Amen!!! His teacher told him that was one of the most beautiful verses in the Bible and thanked him for sharing it with everyone! We were so proud of our boy :)
We loved spending the morning in Ryder's class and walked away thankful for the maturity and confidence the Lord has developed in him and his character...He has grown so much in a year since he was "Star of the Week" last....He now knows how to tie his shoes, read, loves addition and subtraction and is growing more wise by the day :) We praise the Lord for our boy!

Off to the fire station!!!
