For 5 months, we've watched this little bean grow up...
She really is this serious most of the time...
But it makes us enjoy her smiles even more!!!
She has a cloth diaper on here which makes her look even bigger, but she's officially wearing 6-9 month clothes now! What a big girl!
She's been one of the brightest highlights of everyone's day...

In this video, she's not in the best of moods (she was ready for bed...) but it was the only one I could find that really showed her by herself without her brothers and sister all over her! I wanted to document some much needed alone time she got to have by the fire :)...until Cora finds her at the end...Cora LOVES her sister!!!

She's teething like crazy (with her fingers in her mouth all the time) but no teeth yet!
She loves her bath time all to herself, though sometimes joins her brothers and sister too!

After baths, she likes to roll around a bit! In this video, she is on her changing table so I made sure she didn't roll around too much, but you can see how much she loves her toes! I chose this one above the video of her rolling around from her back to her tummy and tummy to back on the floor since you saw more of the back of Ryder's head than you did Rylee...

As you can see, our youngest is surrounded most of the time by those who LOVE to be around her, and for now she takes it all in stride :)

John and I have talked about how much different her personality seems from her brothers and sisters though...with her older siblings all having such strong, dominant personalities, we wonder...will she be our shy one? She loves to cuddle and would be happy in my arms every waking moment, however, she draws the line when it comes to her sleep...Once she's tired, she likes to be in her bed and falls asleep right away once we put her down. I put the girls down for naps together (though Cora only takes one and Rylee still takes three), but they are doing so well sharing a room...we're so thankful!
For now, she's our sweet little mystery. Quiet, yet playful...(Ryder is the best at getting her to belly laugh!)...and she seems to contemplate life through her dark blue/brownish eyes. Even her eye color is a beautiful little mystery!

Dearly loved, greatly admired, deeply admonished, our Rylee Joy is the cherry on top of our family sundae :)

Our prayer for her these days is that the Lord would guard her heart as she grows, and that even now, she would be aware of His presence.

Oh, Lord...may our Rylee grow to be taken with your beauty and overwhelmed by your love as she encounters You in her life again, and again...
