My baby is growing up!
Our sweet girl is 7 months old now, and here are a few fun things that are true of her these days...

...She likes being on her tummy a little more now than before...
She still doesn't have any teeth, but this nifty teething necklace my cousin Breann told me about, is helping soothe the pain of sore gums as they try to push their way through! She doesn't put it in her mouth, but the succinic acid in the amber is absorbed through her skin into her blood stream, and alleviates many of the symptoms babies go through when teething. If you google Baltic Amber Teething Necklace, you'll find many sites who make and ship them. Some may try and make a "New Age" type of connection with amber and it's healing properties...I of course don't believe any material we find anywhere in the earth has "power" on its own. I do, however, like finding more natural ways of helping my family deal with pain. So far, this has been a great one for teething! She used to have her hands in her mouth all the time, rubbing her gums back and forth on her fists and a few days after she began wearing her necklace, she doesn't seem to be as bothered at all! Isn't God creative in the way He cares for us? I love seeing His hand in healing (since He's the one who made amber anyway!) and not having to give my baby Tylenol or teething tablets anymore! Yay!!!

Rylee, you are so loved. Here is a video of you with your sister...she LOVES being around you and it's so fun seeing you two start to talk to each other :) She is so proud to be your sister.
When you sit next to each other in the car, you even like to hold hands...

Your brothers love you too!!!
Cole always asks for you in the bath :)

You've started sitting in our high chair during dinner...the same one all of your brothers and sisters sat in too! I think you like being up high and part of our meals together now...

Coley wanted to feed you at dinner...I couldn't resist :)

I think I can confidently say, you will ALWAYS be surrounded by love, my dear one!
We love that now, at 7 months, you are more a part of the everyday moments of our life as a family. You take 2 or 3 naps a day...and always an afternoon nap with your big sister...you two love to talk each other to sleep.
Lord, bless our dear, sweet Rylee-girl.
She was yours before she was mine.
You formed her perfectly and know her inmost thoughts even now, before she can express them in words.
Thank you for giving me insight as a mother as I learn to read her cries, and squeals.
No matter how much I feel like I know her, I know you know her more.
May your spirit give John and I insight as we parent her now at seven months old, and also someday when she's 7, 17, and 27!
What a gift it is to look into her beautiful, hazel eyes and know that more than any food I feed her, any lotion I rub on her soft skin or any song I whisper in her little ears at night,
to give her the gift of a mother who bends low before a Most High God at night on her behalf is the greatest act of love I can give.
Do with her what you will, Lord...May her life bring you glory, my beautiful Savior.
Thank you for entrusting her to US for the short time we all have here on earth.
May your kingdom come and will be done on EARTH as it is in Heaven!
