My Princess turned 3, and asked for a royal party to celebrate...

So we sent the royal invites...

We made sure to ask her friends to wear their gowns to our "girls only" party since our palace isn't big enough for the whole royal family :)

We decorated the palace using books we had in our royal library, vases of wands, crowns and our banner with words from a verse found in Psalm 45:13...talking about how a princess is glorious when she is within Christ :)

Empty favor bags ready for the girl's finished crafts and a prize from a game we'd play...

Our "enchanted forest of memories" with pictures of our girl from her first "birth" day to now :)

We read "Gigi, God's Little Princess" and shared about how we are all princesses everyday we wake up since our Heavenly Father is the Mightiest of Kings!  We also talked about how we can be glorious like Psalm 45:13 says...only when Christ is in us!

...Royal Treats...
"Castle" Peanut Butter and Jam Sandwiches
"Crown" and "High-Heel" Cheese slices with Crackers
(cookie cutters are wonderful!)
Fruit-Cups with grapes, strawberries and blueberries
White-chocolate dipped pretzels with pink sprinkles
Pink Lemonade

Cora's favorite...Dance Party!

Busy decorating Royal wands and crowns...

"Glass Slipper Hot Potato"
(even my princes joined in)

Cupcakes!

...Royal Gifts...

Prince Ryder read every card while Prince Cole helped collect the wrapping paper...

One of the beautiful handmade gifts
...Princess Clips...
(can you say the names of all these princesses?)

What a beautiful time to celebrate the blessing our Cora is to us, in a community of friends...

...Princess Wand and Crown Tutorial...
(descriptions under each photo)
Cut two stars per wand out of glittery stiffened felt
Cut three strands of ribbon, double the length of the wood dowel
I liked using different colors, widths and textures
Tie them in one knot at the top of each dowel

You can see this project was continued at night!
Cut a smaller star out of card stock or I used the back of a notepad
Use this as a stencil to trace and cut one small star for each wand...
Cut smaller stars out of different color felt (not stiffened but still sparkly!)
Using a glue gun, glue smaller stars in the center the larger ones
Next, glue the wood dowels to the other stars
Next, trace a line of glue with your glue gun along the inside perimeter of one of the stars,
as well as in the middle and hold together for a few seconds to let them set.
Lastly, I added the first letter of each girl's name to the other side,
then during the party, let the girls glue "jewels" on them with glitter glue!

Now for the Crowns...
Make another stencil out of card stock...or the back of a note pad :)
Fold it in half before you start, and with the folded side making the bottom of the crown, draw the top

Open and trace...
Glue felt crowns onto the bands near the band and at the top...
The girls decorated these with jewels and glitter glue too!

The best gift of the party...celebrating in a community of friends!
We love you Cora-bean!

Oh my gosh Danice those crowns were adorable, I can't wait for Kayleigh to be old enough to have a princess party. Well she will be turning 3 this year but maybe we can do this for her 4th birthday. Your crafts were so cute! And I love reading your blog. And I miss seeing all your kiddos smiling faces at church.
