I'm already getting excited to begin our journey of homeschooling, but right in the middle of the anticipation I sense God calling me beyond it...beyond the way He's called us to teach our kids and into the wide open canvas of space this new calling will draw us into.
What a gift, TIME is.
Right in the middle of praying about curriculum and home school groups, I feel the Spirit drawing me to pray something deeper...something that He calls us ALL to pray...
How will you use the days, the hours, the moments I give you...
I'm very aware that in all of my well-meaning intentionality, I could easily plan right over God, allowing my love for organization to become an idol in the process. Instead I pray Proverbs 16:9...
In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.
We may not have started homeschooling yet, but my heart is already starting to be drawn toward the bigger picture...found here in 2 Chronicles 16:9...
The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.

I'm beginning a new book tonight...One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp tonight...and just. plain. grateful to be alive.
Lord, I pray you make my heart fully committed to your ways.
Break my heart for what breaks yours.
Give us your vision, and determine our steps.
A divine strengthening...what a gift.
