Okay, I'm pretty much bursting at the seams right now...I'm so glad to be back!!!
My heart has been BLESSED beyond measure by the past season of my "blog fast," but I sit here before you refreshed in so many ways...
Refreshed physically...let's be honest...being a mom of four little ones means my chats with you take place in the late hours of the night and so having the freedom to just go to BED has been wonderful :)
Refreshed mentally...giving my mind a vacation from the "processing" mode I often find myself in as I write so consistently was a good thing. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE to process through life and what God is doing in our family, but the pause refreshed me...a very good thing :)
Refreshed relationally...it was good for me to be able to help my amazing, hard-working, dissertation completing husband with some of the things that I could do to help him finish this thing! If all goes as planned, he'll be DONE on June 28th. Please pray. We're so close I can taste it, but until then, there is much work and GOOD processing to be done :) God is doing a good thing through his work with students with hearing loss who are playing in their junior high school bands. God's plan is amazing. I'm reminded AGAIN of that truth as I support him through the end of this four year long process to becoming Dr. John, and only for the glory of God.
Refreshed spiritually...God is really SO good. As He always does when I commit my steps to Him, He shows me the way I should go. His Spirit is so very real, personal, intimate and completing. I've been reminded again of how WHOLE I feel in Him. He's met me in profoundly beautiful ways...ways I could never describe to you in words, but ways I hope you've experienced with Him yourself. I pray you're blessed by the next season here in this place. More testimonies of God's faithfulness are too come...
Until then, here are a few housekeeping things for you...
- There are a BUNCH of "grandparent" posts coming this week...those are, posts the grandparents will LOVE! We've experienced a lot of life in the past several weeks, and it's time to catch the grandparents up on life with their grandkids!
- While I was taking a break from here, I write two posts for Beautifully Rooted, which, if you haven't checked it out yet...you should! THIS post sums up the impact this Lenten season had on me through the testimony of a dear friend going through a divorce. THIS one is yet another way the Lord has spoken to me through the life of my Cole.
- I'm going to be going to a blogging schedule that looks like this..."as the Spirit leads" I love it. I think it's exactly what you and I both need. Who knows, that may mean two posts one day, and none the next...just trying to keep you on your toes around here :)
- Somehow, over the break, more people than ever visited and read stories of God's faithfulness, here. I'm so humbled by His way, and reminded that it is always a good one. Thank you to those of you who have shared stories you've been encouraged by. Keep it up, and join the mission here that Jesus would be KNOWN.

Notecards ready? This week...
John 14:27
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.
Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace the mind that is dependent on You, for it is trusting in You.
Amen!!! Peace be with you friends...oh, how I love to be back with you again...I'm waiting with great anticipation to see how God will move in the coming season together :)
Lord, prepare us now for your work in us. Pave the way for the deep and transforming work of your Spirit in us as we engage in what we were made for...a life of loving and being loved by YOU!

Welcome back! How cute is your family Easter picture! Love all the updates in this blog post and I read the beautifully rooted post with your friend who is going through a divorce. WOW!!! What a powerful word! Thank you God that we have the ability to lay down our offenses and walk in love. I am realizing I have room for improvement in this area, thank you for sharing and please thank your friend for being such a great example of Jesus to all of us! Kirstin
