One of our very favorite ways to spend our weekends is at the beach...
We're so, so, so thankful to be near enough to wake up on a Saturday morning and decide to pack up the car and head to the beach for the day.
Seriously, being raised near the coast most of my life, I totally took for granted how much beauty lie so close by. After spending 3 years in Illinois and far away from the waves, I could barely wait to feel sand beneath my toes again! Now we get to bring our four to enjoy it with us, and as much there are times I wish John and I could actually sit in the chairs we always bring, I wouldn't trade this wave jumping, sand castle building, kite flying stage for anything in the world.
