Watching my boy read makes my heart happy on so many levels.
He's developed such a desire to read since he sees what the freedom his brother has to pick up a book and devour the story all on his own. He loves a good story and lately, he really wants to learn to read them on his own. I think it may have something to do with the incredible imagination God has planted in his sweet little head too. Books and the stories in them give flight to the ideas swarming around in our thoughts, and if there is anything Cole loves is a good imaginary journey...I absolutely love this boy.
We were reading through his BOB Books this morning, (not at ALL for the story value) since he has learned a few of them and he loves to flip through their pages, reading the words all on his own. This morning, I asked if I could record him reading, so I could show everyone what an incredible reader he'd become. His face lit up and a smile broke out from ear to ear as he opened the first book and began "performing" as I've never seen before...
So this is for YOU...(Miss Amy, Kristin, Marcia, Carolyn, Shawnda and Holly). For his therapists of the past and prayer warriors of the present...thank you.
Not only are you about to hear one of BOB's finest stories (brace yourself...the plots are riveting) but the reader in the following film is quite the entertainer. The entire script was captured improvised on the spot. We have a budding actor on our hands :) Enjoy...
