Time just keeps moving!  It's amazing to me that only 8 years ago I become a mother for the first time.  I remember the day so clearly.  It was amazing to hold his little body in my arms and think..."This one's MINE."  Then 5 years later, our sweet Rylee Joy joined our family on her due date, and her brother's birthday!

This was the first year it seemed that they BOTH felt the joy of sharing such a special day!  We decided to make a DAY of it and have BOTH parties on the same day.  It actually went really well!  We've been in a pattern of giving the kids a party every other year so far, but I'm not sure how I missed separating the years THESE two get a party!  Oh well...we may get it straight one of these days, and if not, it'll be a fun day each year anyway!

...Rylee Joy turns 3...

The table is set...

Tea Party Hats are ready to be decorated...

Just enough time to dance in the empty room with party dresses on before guests arrive!

...and more dancing :)
Cupcakes are ready...even the allergy-free chocolate ones :)

Guests have arrived!  Let's read a tea party story...
Present time!

Curious brother came back from his soccer scrimmage...

These four in the back are moms...but to me, they are dear friends :)

Such a sweet little bunch!
Happy Birthday to YOU!

Make a wish!

Yay!!!

Cupcakes and snacks for all :)
Rylee made the hat, and her friends made the pillow for her birthday!

*****

Ryder turns 8!

A WAAAAAAAAY easier party!
Take down the girly decorations and invite some friends to sleepover...
Pizza and Root beer with good friends!

(One boy said, "I've never had root beer in the bottle before!)
Ryder really wanted to play "Pin the Tail on the Donkey"

And watch "Davey Crockett" before the getting out the sleeping bags!
The older they get, the easier their parties become, because they just want to have fun with their friends!  They don't need a lot of money spent on them to know that they are loved.  They feel it when those who love them, gather close and STAY a while.

Ryder and Rylee, you are two of most amazing gifts I've ever received.  Both SO unique from one other, yet you love each other so authentically.  You remind me of how God loves ME.  He loved me first...so I can love little gifts like YOU.
Happy Birthday sweet ones!
