Wednesday can be a rough time of the week for many of us...every Wednesday morning that we lift our head from our pillow, we find ourselves right smack dab in the middle of our week.  I'm not sure what kind of week you're finding yourself in the middle of today, but regardless of our circumstance, let's remember that the God of creation isn't bound by the stereotypes we hold about our calendar days!  He is worthy to be praised on Wednesday as much as He is on a Sunday morning...and that's exactly what I intend to do.

Each Wednesday here on Our Inspired Journey, will now be known as Worshipful Wednesday.  Wednesdays will be a day when I'll post something specifically intended to draw us all nearer to the heart of God...No one can make you worship.  Someone can ask you to read a scripture, help someone in need or even sing a song, but only you can allow the Spirit of the Living God to show Himself to you in a fresh way, and choose to respond in adoration of the only One who is worthy of it.

This is a song that has been running through my head lately...and I'm so thankful it is.  I hope it says for a while.  Lately we've been focusing on fixing our eyes, mind and heart on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith...I've talked about depression...Cole's anger over deafness...and the response I believe Jesus has for us in it all...being devoted to commit His Word to memory and to sit at His feet to hear from His life-giving voice.  Being in the presence of God is my favorite place, because it reminds me I belong elsewhere...but while I'm still here, the voice of Holy Spirit whispering to my heart straight from His, makes heaven feel very close.

May you be blessed as you are reminded that the God of the Bible, who parted the Red Sea for the Israelites is FOR you...today.  And for those of you looking for an artist whose been INSPIRED to write songs of truth, freedom and hope, here's one for you to add to the list...God has worked mightily through her to me...

Romans 8:31
What then shall we say to these things?  If God is for us, who is against us?

What a way to live a Wednesday!  Thank you, Lord for another day...you are worthy of our most honest praise!

hmm, maybe that's why my church has healing services on Wednesday, because it is the middle of the week! I didn't listen to the Kari Jobe video, but I have some of her songs -- she's got a beautiful voice!
